6/26/08 - 6/28/08: Bluegrass Masters Film Festival at the River of Music Party, Owensboro, KY
Curly and a number of other bluegrass pioneers will be present as the International Bluegrass Music Museum celebrates the premier of several new oral history documentaries. Some events will take place at the Museum and at the Riverpark Center downtown, and an outdoor festival will be held at nearby Yellow Creek Park. 8/2/08: The Carter Family Memorial Festival
Hiltons, VA
Curly will perform with his old friend and singing partner, Willis Spears. This festival takes place at the historic Carter Family Fold on Friday and Saturday, August 1-2, from 2:00 - 11:00 PM. Curly and Willis will perform an afternoon and an evening set on Saturday. Tentatively scheduled to back them is the fantastic Virginia band, Big Country Bluegrass.
